Abstract:

Alamgholagh Mountain is located in NW of Hamedan city. It comprises diorite to syenite and quartiziferous syenite rocks near its climax. The Pre-Jurassic ignimbrite and rhyolite host Baba-Ali ore body. This ore body contains magnetite, hematite and trace amounts of pyrite and chalcopyrite. Textural studies with reflecting microscope show some primary and replacement textures. SEM studies reveal parallel thin plates in magnetite crystals and bacterial activity on pyrite crystals.Spider REE diagrams show noticeable different patterns for ore body amphiboles and country rocks. In the ore body, the concentration of elements fluctuates alternately, however, in the country rocks decrease from La to Lu and show a negative anomaly in Eu values. Some of the calculated REE ratios for the ore body and country rock are different and suggest a different genesis.

Abstract:

Summary: In the present study the sample catchment basin approach has been used in addition to multivariate statistical Analysis over Geochemical dataset collected in Kervian area in Iran. Sample catchment basin has reasonably detected the favorable zones in the present study and the proven Au mineralization has validated the results. Introduction: Stream sediment data application method has been widely used and accepted in exploration of different deposit types in mineral exploration industry and has shown its efficiency in this context. The sample catchment basin approach is a technique for processing of stream sediment data that is employed for removal of lithological impact from existing variation in chemical content of the samples. Methodology and Approaches: The target area covers 617 km2 in which 299 stream sediment samples were collected for chemical Analysis. In addition, digitized 1:100000 geological and 1:50000 topographical maps were used for creation of sample catchment basins considering the sampling point positions. In order to remove the impact of background contribution to geochemistry of stream sediment by this technique the following procedure has been taken into account: 1- estimation of uni-element background concentration of element of interest for every lithology and then estimation of uni-element background value for every sample catchment basin 2- removal of the background concentration from measured concentration of element for each sample 3- dilution correction of residual values by taking the catchment area size into account 4- Analysis of dilution correction values and delineating the anomalous basins. Results and Conclusions: The sample catchment basin method was employed and data processing was completed as mentioned above which resulted in delineation of anomalous Au values extended south-westerly. The results are compatible with known gold occurrences located in this part of the map. There are weak to moderate anomalous basins positioned south east and east of the known mineralization covered with the same sedimentary units as mineralization area that could be assumed promising. However, sample catchment basin has successfully highlighted the anomalous basins which were not detected through Analysis of raw dataset. Employing this method has led to introduction of more areas for further prospecting, decreasing the chance of false negative anomaly. Comparison between processed dataset with the sample catchment basin approach and raw data set has demonstrated the superiority of the sample catchment basin approach.

Abstract:

Using factor Analysis and cluster Analysis for hydro Geochemical Analysis of Gorgan water sources, the related data of two sampling periods in spring and winter is used. According to correlation matrix, in spring and winter, Po4-3, HCo3- and K+ much of the groundwater is correlated with electrical conductivity. Cl- has more combination with Mg-2 in spring, while there is the most combination between the Ca+2 and So4-2 in winter. The cluster diagrams show that there is similarity between Cl ions and Mg-2 in groundwater more than 88%, and 80% between So4-2 and Ca+2 ions in spring while there are the most similarity between So4-2 and Ca+2 in winter, and then Cl- and Mg-2, according to this and correlation matrix, the dominated type of groundwater is Mg-2- Cl- in spring and is Ca+2- So4-2 in winter. According to the Analysis method, three factors which are effective on chemical combination of groundwater include: 1- Aquifer hydro Geochemical Process, because most of the cations and onions have factor-load in high level. 2-Feeding by surface water (river, runoff) because of increase of HCo3-, s concentration and ground waters Po4-3. 3- Human activity (seepage of wastewater, absorbing wells and …) because nitrate is showing the highest load in third factor. The nitrates concentration in groundwater is more influenced by wastewater and irrigation of agriculture fertilizers. In the third factor, the concentrations of Na+ and Cl- are considerably increased.

Abstract:

One of the important Geochemical parameters used to evaluate the hydrocarbon potential of source rock is total organic carbon (TOC). TOC measurement is time-consuming and rather expensive and considerable number of drill hole samples including core or cuttings have to be analyzed. In this study، TOC values were estimated initially using petrophysical logs generally available from drilled wells. For this purpose، an ant colony system was used based on hierarchical clustering Analysis. The first stage was comprised of hierarchical clustering and the second stage included ant colony system، which was designed continuously with a normal probability distribution function. Continuous ant colony system (CACS) calculated weight coefficients of nonlinear proposed function for the petrophysical data of each cluster. The results show that this algorithm has a successful performance in combination with clustering for the estimation of TOC log. Using these coefficients and petrophysical data، TOC log can be generated for other wells in this field. This study is based on the data collected from three wells of the Ahwaz oilfields and can be generalized to other developmental wells.

Abstract:

Trend surface and its applications have been widely discussed by researchers, e.g. Davise (1986). Trend surface Analysis is a type of multiple regressions which point coordinates are independent variables and each of grade or thickness and … can be dependent variables. In this method, after removing all of random anomalies, we fit suitable surface to major values. In this paper, we applied trend surface Analysis on data obtained from Cupper and Molybdenum Geochemical Analysis of Darrehzar region and determined Geochemical anomalies.

Abstract:

Multiple Correspondence Analysis & Cluster Analysis (MCACA), firstly developed in this paper, extracts the main advantages of Multiple Correspondence Analysis and hierarchical cluster Analysis, and unifies the R-and Q-mode cluster Analysis of large data set. A systemic program to recognize the regional Geochemical patterns is built up based on this method. With this program, the complex tasks for data interpretation can be achieved by simple processes, and important Geochemical information can be displayed by a single diagram, i.e. the dendrogram. As a case study, the regional Geochemical pattern recognition for Ashin sheet by scale of 1:100,000 in Isfahan province is introduced. The results show that many hidden Geochemical patterns related to the lithologies, structures and etc. are revealed by the Geochemical image, and that the main Geochemical patterns are related with certain geological patterns. By finding contrasts between Geochemical patterns and geological patterns, the MCACA results assist the geological mapping in this area. Stream sediment Geochemical data obtained in Iran regional Geochemical exploration provides useful information regarding geology and other factors, and the method described in this paper provides a new way to examine this type of resource.

Abstract:

Dust is one of the atmospheric phenomena that has adverse environmental effects and consequences. In order to study dusts in Sabzevar, samples were collected at the end of each season in 1390. In this research, sampling containers were installed in 16 locations on the roofs of houses and governmental offices based on the main and sub geographical directions and trapped samples in MDCO were measured by 0. 0001 accuracy scale. For Geochemical studies due to the volume of dust collected and the importance of the samples, basic oxides and trace elements of fine dust were measured using atomic absorption and ICP methods. Results has shown that the maximum dust volume were collected in the spring while the concentration of most polluting elements is higher in autumn. In terms of pollution, Cadmium and Zinc are of primary importance in sabzevar due to their very high pollution coefficient. Chromium and Nickle are of secondary importance with being in the range of moderate pollution and significant pollution coefficient. In the current situation, the pollution of elements such as copper, lead and arsenic in the dust of Sabzevar is not critical and worrying.

Abstract:

Purpose: The flourishing of political parties and currents is one of the signs of the degree of development in societies. In contemporary Iran and since the formation of the constitutional movement, political currents have gone through many ups and downs and it can be said that political currents in Iran after the Islamic Revolution have not yet reached the stage of institutionalization and stability. A characteristic feature of political currents in Iran is the divergence and division among political currents in recent decades, and this can be one of the reasons for the instability and cross-sectional and seasonal activity of political parties in Iran. Therefore, the necessity of leading research seeks to answer the question of how factors and divergence among political currents in Iran after the victory of the Islamic Revolution can be analyzed? And what are the scenarios for the advancement of political currents in Iran?Method: To answer this question, the method of causal-layer Analysis, which is one of the qualitative methods in futures research, has been used.Findings: The research findings indicate that this divergence is due to a wide range of reasons from the level of causal systems (from the institutionalization of power to the formation of parties as elitist initiatives), worldview and discourse (from charismatic political authority to culture). Subsidiary-follower politics to myth-metaphor (Iranian individualism to belief in a strong state-weak society) can be analyzed. Conclusions: Three scenarios for the future of Iranian political currents can be considered: integration of currents as the security valve of the political system, the collapse of political currents in the traditional form, integration and consolidation in new social movements (virtualized parties).
